In web marketing, attribution is solved: UTM tags plus analytics. In Telegram, that playbook breaks immediately — a t.me link has no query parameters you can read, no cookies, no pixel. You run ads in five places, your channel grows by 800 subscribers, and you have no idea which placement brought which people. Why UTM tags fail inside Telegram
UTM parameters live in the URL and are read by a web analytics script on the destination page. A Telegram channel is not a web page: when the user taps a t.me link, the app opens natively and no script runs. The parameters are simply discarded. Any attribution system for Telegram has to work on different rails.
Rail one: tracked invite links
Telegram allows a channel to have many invite links.
